For example, we have recently developed a smelting process for 95% to 100% recovery of metal from solder ashes and dross, and our copper refining furnaces operate with the latest integral lancing technology to attain 99.97% copper purity from readily available copper scrap. ESTABLISHED TECHNOLOGY We have a long history of furnace supply for iron, aluminium, lead and copper melting, including short body rotary furnaces for the smelting of lead acid batteries and copper drosses, attaining 70% to 85% yield from typical battery pastes and less than 1% metal losses for iron melting. This enables our clients to reclaim metal from dross, ash or other waste product containing oxidised metal as well as refine to produce the required final product specification, or simply melt metal reliably and economically. VII. ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY We offer guidance with energy consumption, carbon reduction and environmental impact. VIII. TURN KEY PROVISION We can assist with the specification of bag-house filtration plant, with furnace charging arrangements and with the design of pouring arrangements for liquid metal from the furnace into castings or for further refining. LOW ENERGY MELTING Our rotary furnaces operate with low energy consumption – the following energy consumptions are typical: 550 kW/tn iron melting; 880 kW/tn aluminium melting 780 kW/tn lead smelting.
